Harvey Goldstein has also made his presence felt in the region through participation in professional organizations such as APCAC and the Young Presidents’ Organization, both of which he served as Chairman.
The Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) was founded in New York in 1950 by Ray Hickok. Currently, it has a presence in more than 120 countries, with 400 local chapters and approximately 20,000 members. Its members are young CEOs, managing directors, presidents, or professionals of equivalent stature, and are younger than 45 years old. YPO’s mission is to create “better leaders through education and idea exchange.”
YPO provides a network for business leaders and emphasizes the importance of ongoing education. It holds events such as its Annual Global Leadership Summit. In 2014, this conference was hosted in Los Angeles and provided a platform for members to meet with well-known leaders and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas, embrace new perspectives, and foster creativity and innovation. An Africa Family Safari Experience was arranged where YPO families visited South Africa’s game reserves, exploring African wildlife and reconnecting with their families while making lifelong memories.
